i caught a 3 pound one but the lake i fish has so many bass they dont get so big but caught a 10 pound catfish while bass fishing.

that makes no sense, in Ga a 3 pounder is average, trust me there are some really big fish in that lake, if you are fishing from shore that is why you are only catching small guys most of the time

My personal best for an LMB 23", not sure on the weight prolly in the 10 pound range, caught it off a breeding nest at my private lake :D, caught about 10 fish that size that day, my setups usually are daiwa samurai baitcast ( i have 6 of them) with different weights of line and braid etc
was throwing a zoom finesse worm bubblegum color and flavor :WHOA:

I've been fishing since I could cast but don't fish for Bass much. However I've caught dozens of them. Largemouth I'd say around 2lbs would be the biggest, nothing spectacular. I did catch a 4lb Smallmouth about 10 years ago here in Indiana and if you know Indiana you know even for a Largemouth that would be big, for a Smallmouth it's huge here. So needless to say it's up on my Fathers wall. Strangely I have no pictures of it, I guess I should take one next time I am over. It was around 20" and fat.

I was using a live frog as bait.

a private lake!!!!!!!!! Dude! I want property to build a 5 acre 1 and stock like crazy! What kind of fish are in it? I was thinkin of stockin lmb obviously, crappie, fatheads, golden shiners, bluegill, crawfish, and mosquito fish.

That does make sense. There are too many fish so they don't get big, the smaller ones need to be fished out. I've fished a pond like that too. Three of us caught 68 bass 14" or larger in three hours. At least 50 of those were 14-15".

thats why people electrofish every yr. after the first 3 yrs. Im like a bass pond wizard. i want my own pond soo bad but thats alot of $$$$
