Wet/dry. They offer superb gas exchange, allow you to put heaters in the sump to keep the rays from burning themselves, easier to clean (I don't care what any canister fanboy says, wet/dry filters ARE easier to clean), and they're much more flexible. You can add pumps, adjust flow rate, add heaters, UV, etc.

IMO for rays there is no other way to do it. Others will work, but IME wet/dry filters make your life easier.

Oh yea, you can build them for much less than a canister;)

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Thanks rallysman and everyone else for there input. I was reading the wet/dry diy thread and they dont seem to hard to build. What would be the recommended tank size for the wet/dry for a 150gal. Here are the dimensions for inside the stand.
Length 4 ft (theres a 1 foot gap at each end)
Width 16 in (prolly go with a tank width a 14 inch width?)
Height 20 1/2 in (prolly go with a tank height of 20 inches?)

a 33g breeder or a 29 would probably work well. Be careful to not make the tank too tall or it will be hard to get to the prefilter.

I dont care what filter you get hunny just get the dang thing so we can have stingraysssssss :)
