since you didnt get his point I was just trying to explain it. when he seid put yourself in my shoes thats what he was refering to is having something you belive in banned and discrimminated against. wasnt making an attack on anyone nor have I been preaching just trying to defend my right to talk about what I like in the Lounge, whatever it may be.

i see what your saying. and it happens to me all the time so i know where youre coming from. my example would be guns. there are several people on here who are strongly against guns and threads about guns always spark a flame war on gun control, similar to religious debates.

the big difference is, that at the end of the day i'm fine with. i dont get my feelings hurt over fighting with a computer screen about a hot topic. people make their comments, i make mine, and life goes on. in this country we have the right to bear arms as we do freedom of religion. BUT, there is also freedom of speech, which means people can say what they want about whatever they want.

but since this a regulated forum, you just cant always say what you want. and posts that seems as though they are attacking someone are not tolerated. and again, that is the problem with religious posts on this forum

but if no other ppl with different reigious backgrounds are getting upset at this then the majority is ok with a religion ban
oh yeah cuz their all awake at midnight like our dumb asses.

anyways, i'm off to bed now, gotta work in the morning. we shall continue if this thread remains open!!

In my opinion.. This thread should have all but the authors original post DELETED... It is not an arguement... it is a policy.. Policies are not up for discussion publicly.. They are publicly viewed for notice of enforcement.

See? The allowing of this thread to be publicly discussed is already dividing the site...

And setting some up for ban status.

i think this hits the nail on the head just look at the thread i started the other night about the knob creek macine gun shoot MAN was that a crazy thread and it got closed b/c it got side tracked into a debate when it started out harmless

When it all bores down to it, there are forums for religion, weaponry, basically any hobby imaginable. If you have a serious problem with the 'banning' of excessive religious referencing on this forum, perhaps pursuing your beliefs or recreations on the relevant boards would be a better fit for your interests.

I can't foresee any fish talk ever getting outlawed or looked down upon on these forums, so the argument of ignoring what you don't like regarding topics that aren't native to the forums as a whole is a bit of a moot point. It's more alike reading a magazine about classic boating and sailing and having it populated with articles about speed boats and jet skis.
