your rod setups

what kind's of rods, and reels are you guys useing, and what do you fish for.

the main rod i've been useing lately is my, 6'6", crankbait baitcaster, it's a shimano citica reel, 5,2 gear ratio, and a pinnacle rod, it's spooled with 10lb triline mono. i fish for mainly LMB

what do you use?

I have two BERKLEY LIGHTNING ROD'S 6'0 er's with rhino baitcaster's with a
6.2to1 ratio spooled with 50lb braid & 15lb mono low vis green ..

one FLW spinning rod 6'0 w/ southbend spinning reel 5.2 to 1. ratio spooled with 12lb mono ..

one 5'0 southbend spinning rod w/ spining reel spooled with 4lb low vis green

I fish mostly big game and panfish..

Mines not the best of set sups but there good enough for me now !!! plus they have landed me my personal best 15lb carp.

i have
2x Ron Thompson 2.5tc rods
2x Diawa bf5000 big pit reels
2x Fox warrior bite alarms
most of my tackle is FOX too (thanks to stotty)

6'6" or 7 all star classic rod, abu garcia torno- redfish, speckle trout, flounder, or bass fishin (golf course night fishin of course)


10' american rodsmith surf rod, abu garcia 7000- bull red, shark, big ugly black drum, or anythin that wants to take the bait

Nice gear fishingaddict!!

I use an Okuma VSystem 85 on an 9' Okuma Surfrod. I'm trying to get a 10' starrod Handcraft and soon will be getting a Diawa Saltiga Z6500. This reel is awesome and pricey.

Got loads 4x custom built 3 lb test curve Carp rods also 2 x 2.25lb test curve carp/Tench rods , Berkley lure rod and a Ron Thomson one fix spool one multiplayer, 2 Dam pike rods. Last of all a quiver tip and a float rod.

Most of the terminal tackle as Dan stated Fox or Rod Hutchinson. With a bit of Kevin Nash on the side.

i use an ancient 6' Berkely rod/reel my grandpa gave me about 12 yrs ago.
im not sure how old it is exactly ( im guessing 50's-60's) but it works fine to this day.Used for trout, pike, walleye, whitefish mainly.

rod says:Berkley parametric PG30M
reel says: D.A.M. Quick 220

Its not gonna win a beauty contest but it does seem to catch fish hehe.

there due an upgrade when i sell my house !!!

so are my reels i fancie the old Diawa Infinitys myself !!!

and a good quiver tip rod !!!
