Its good for the price, and does its job. That said, I wouldn't buy another one for RAYS. Rays produce alot of ammonia, so bio filtration is very important for them. I'd suggest running a supplemental filter for additional bio filtration. For any other fish, I'd have no problem running one along side a 2080. The fit of the baskets is kind of loose (ie. stacking), and overall the quality isn't like Eheim - rough casting, rough sounding/running motor, overall finish. But bear in mind, you won't notice any of this until you put it next to an Eheim. On my 225, I'm running one along with a Eheim 2080 Pro III for two 4" Motoro pups, a 9" Dat and four 2" Dats. When the rays get bigger I'll get another 2080 to replace the FX5.
