I'm going to be a little more conservative and realistic based on the amount of space I have available in my office.
The tank will be 72"L x 36"W x 36"T... 400 gallons
Tank will have black sand with a dark blue background. I think that all black tanks tend to darken the fish and you lose the brighter colors that make fish pop.
Decor will consist of lots and lots of driftwood at one end and then wrapping around the back to the opposite side leaving over half the tank wide open for active swimming. I would tie Java moss to the drift wood letting it grow freely where it wants on the wood.
Lighting will consist of 2 sky tubes that bring in natural sunlight supplemented with a couple of 72" light fixtures.
Filtration will consist of a combination wet/dry sump and canisters. I will also hook the tank up to an automatic drip system that changes out a percentage of the tank's volume on a daily basis.
Now for the fun stuff. The fish.
Of course my pair of kelberi. I would be hard pressed to find better Cichla to put in the tank.
I would add a tigrinus cat
An armatus
A scarlet pleco
And finish it off with a school of Fei-Feng. 8-12 specimens.
I would love to have this display in my office so that while working I have something to watch and enhance the quality of my day. The more I think about this the more I really want it!!
