PS...Just because Google/YouTube are not precisely publishers, they engage in a similar business for profit, and have similar goals and responsibilities.

A horse is no mule, but their husbandry is the same, except in one particular of little interest most days.

The laws, and our attitudes, should reflect this.

Whats interesting is that this law/rule is basically saying that collecting kids data is somehow harmful for them, but if its harmful for them then its harmful anyone else too. Google is really the worlds largest spy network because that is what they have built their business around, with facebook being a close second.
