Yesterday, my 12" disk flower ray swallowed the 5" yoyo loach and it gets stuck with the end of tail hanging out. I found out last night when I try to feed the ray. The ray woud not even touch the MP. After a couple hours, I decided to pull out the loach from his mouth. I tried with my hand but could not get it off, finally have to use the pair of plier (had to bring the ray out of the tank to do it), since it gets stuck really hard. Finally I able to pull it out. Close look at the yoyo loach shows that it has two sharp bones sticking out (one on each side, close to his mouth). I know for sure I tear off some tissue inside his stomach when I removed the loach.
The ray at this time just hardly moves anymore, not interest in food (I try this morning). Now I just wait to see if it recovers. Any one keeps loach with sting ray, be careful . I have this ray for a year (has it when he is about 5") and did not has any problem until now.
