Breeding is outdated. I believe Madduff in loaches.com was able to breed them. I should update everything I did since 2006.
YoYo Loaches And Ich?

I had a YoYo loach in my community tank with tetras, 2 Midnight Gobies and Clown pleco. The Gobies at one point had ich and I just treated that whole tank instead of removing the gobies and isolating them. None of the other fish including the YoYo loach got the ich on them. Excellent loaches in my opinion as far as personality and size. I would have to say to not make the mistake I did and keep a single loach. He at times would nip at the other fishes at feeding time and I removed him from the tank for this reason.
I decided to go with the YoYo's. I am picking 10 of them up tommorow from my LFS.
I currently have a 10 gallon with Boesemani Rainbows that I have been growing out, which I'll move.
Is a 10 gallon enough for 10x 1 inch YoYo's as a quarintine before I move them to the 6x2x2? Is bare bottome OK?
As I live in Australia I don't have access to Rid Ich, so I would like to know what else I could do to ensure I don't lose any YoYo's to Ich?
What else should I feed other than NLS and bloodworms?
I have a half bottle each of Pimafix and Melafix, will these be of any use to me with the YoYo's.

Since they're only an inch at this point, yes, a 10g will work for the time being. Do daily water changes though to avoid stunting them. If you can get a 15-20g, that will work much better. Keep the tank barebottom and add a few PVC pipes. Your loaches will eat anything. Keep a leafy vegetable clipped for 24 hours but they prefer meat in general.
Stick to salt for ich and forget about Melafix and Pimafix. You don't need them.

*With the daily water changes how long could they stay in the 10G before I stunt them?
*Should I raise the temp on the tank before acclimating them or acclimate them to a lower temp and raise the temp for Ich?
*Since they are going to be on their own in a 10G, how high can I take the temp before I put the YoYo's in danger?
Give quarantine period 3-4 weeks. That's your limited time duration to let them stay there. I'd say a 50% water change daily is already favorable in this case.
As for the temperature concern, what's the current temp they are in? You need to slowly acclimate them if the temperature difference is wide. Keep the temp consistently at 80-84 degrees for the whole quarantine period and keep them well fed at all times.

great choice ... yo-yos are by far my favorite loaches, and I've never had a problem with them getting ich ...
not to sound too lackadaisical about care, but I keep mine in a planted tank with my SA/CA cichlids, and don't really put any special effort into keeping them at all ... they seem to adjust very easily and have proven very hardy indeed ...

The temp is currently 85. Is this to high or OK?
I acclimated them over a about an hour, they have been in the tank for about 5 hours now.
I have just feed them some NLS and there stomachs are already bulging.
