Thats good to know... guess i was wondering mainly coz i hear people say they feed food scraps to their worms such as left over vegetable skins etc, and was wondering if that maybe would cause some funky smells... also, since i live in a hot and very humid climate, the last thing i want is a smelly apartment...

the smell all depend on what's in the growing bin. so if you ever try it, just tailor yours with that in mind & don't use things that'll rot.
I get mine from an organic local grower. those smell just like the clean damp soil they're in.

hahahaha....And to think my girlfriend yells at me for keeping normal seafood type fish food in da fridge... I need to show her this thread to prove it could be worse then what I keep in it now---

haha. some people are very particular about what's in their kitchens.
Mine has various veterinary supplies sitting around. it's more convenient! I just have to put it all out of reach when little kids come over.

That's how we roll here in Canada. Plus would you want that next to your beer in the beer fridge??? LoL
