they are tough there skin is like leather, they always try to turn round and bite me, walleye, sauger and zander are part of the same family i think, we only get zander here... My biggest was 17 pounds although they can grow to around 30 pounds...
One of my friends caught a 16 pound walleye which like Zander can get 30-35 pounds potentially. My personal best for walleye is 24 inches 6 pounds.
