zebra dwarf lion problem!

As others said, the Ph is a bit low. 8-8.2 would make him and the others feel better. The salinty is at a safe level, but a bit high. Many people keep the salinty lower .19-.21. I think it has to do with the severity of ick at different salinty levels, but I am not positive.

With a skimmer and sump, the O2 level should be sufficient. I wonder about the ick treatment for the puffer. If you can, set up a qt tank for the puffer and get him out of the main tank. Do some large water changes and use carbon to get remaining medicine out of the main tank.
At qt tank is an aquarist's best friend.

Also, what kind of algae are you growing in the sump?
Good call on changing the diet for you lion. Try adding some frozen silversides to the mix.

yes i have a 10g qt tank set up and have the puffer in it now, since he's the only one with the problem. i did not treat the tank with meds, but i dosed with Marine Max to boost everyones immune system to fight off any ich they may have that i can't see.

i don't know what algae it is, i built the sump setup and put up light fixures facing the scrubber pane. it's thick green and grows a ton, it was brown initially as it should have been. nitrates have been very low since the 3rd week i had it running.

Sounds like hair algae? Did the lion start acting odd before or after you added the Marine Max?

check for voltage! it pisses the hell out of some fish.
