Zebra knife fish?

My zebras had a purlple and black pattern when they were young, but turned white and black as it grew. I've never kept tigers, but my friend used to have one. They're orange and black and get much larger.
 
Day 2.. Seen eating Massivore pellet- fighting Albino Poly for it too! So far so good!
 
That Zebra knife looks sweet.. Where did you get it ?? What's the temperment like on those ?? Just curious if they'd work with my rays.. So far my P Afer gets along good with my rays just not with the other fish in teh tank..lol
Hey just curious who you sold your big P Afer too ?? I got one in trade a few moths back. It's in the 15" +/- range..
 
My zebra's temperament is fairly mellow...it leaves my black ghost alone and does not seam to do a lot during the day unless there's food in the water.

It'd probably do well in with your rays, but not with a P After...those are too agro...especially at that size. My Zebra is only 6 or 7 inches. It would be food.

I got mine at a small pet store local, Maser's in Bothell or Lake Forest Park (not sure of the city boarders) area if your familiar with North Seattle.

I don't recall the name of the guy I sold my p After to, but he had a 300g and rays. He also got my big Endli and a couple smaller Palmas Bichir's too. Sound familiar? I also think that 'machette' was longer than 15" too. :-)
 
That's too funny, it was actually my buddy that grabbed the knife, and Bichir's from you.. The knife and Ornate were for me and the other 2 were for him..
I haven't measured him I was just taking a guess on him.. I had no idea he got it from you.. All he told me is it was off of Craigslist.. Lol
So far I really like that knife but I don't like how it's taken out 3 of my Silver Dollars though.. It does really well with the rays though.
It put my Thin Bar Datnoid through HELL for a couple weeks and now pretty much leaves it alone.

lol I could have told you he loves to nip at the silver dollars-the knife you own has come VERY close to killing 3 of them, that's why my other P Afer (Hatchet) is in a 90 gallon with an Oscar! I have a shoal of 8 (or so...) silver dollars in my 125 now if you'd like to rehome any. ;-)

If I recall that's how I met your friend- through Craigslist. I have an overhead filter and a bunch of driftwood all from that swap... How big of a tank is your P Afer in now? -I hope its at least a 180!

Yea he took out 3 SD's so far, i thought it was one of my rays until my daughter saw him do it..lol I'm actually gonna be looking for some more SD's to go with the 5 i have left.. I can't get many good pics of him being he's in my 300 and it has a black back so he kinda blends in.. I hope i don't end up having to sell him because i actually really like this knife.. I've never even seen one before my buddy grabbed this one.
 
Experience is telling me that he will continue to take out you dollars cause he's bored...I wouldn't add any more unless there faster than he is...

If you wanna see another come on over and u can see your fishes thug cousin...small and stalky...but can...will...and has put a 13" Oscar in his place nightly. Lol
