So I got 5 of them and they seemed to be peaceful fish with my lemon tetras. I just picked up 8 cardinal tetras and for some reason the zebra loaches pick at the cardinals a little bit. Even swimming around to catch them. Anyone have any experience like this?

I've seen this with a lot of loaches. They might be going after the card's because of the brighter colors. Mine will get bored and start "herding" fish.

Ok thanks. I just hope it doesnt stress out the cardinals too much.

This can happen quite a lot, the likes of cardinals are a lot slower than your typical Asian dither fish like Rasbora's and danio's.

A lot of the time the loaches are just inquisitive and want to investigate the new fish, unfortunately this can be stressful for the fish on the receiving end but usually it is all totally harmless

Ive been thinking about getting a small group of Zebra Loaches for my 55gallon tank. Would you buy them again or recommend them. They have great color an dont grow very large. Im a lil worried about them picking on my lil Gold Nugget Pleco

I have a group of 7 in my 75 gallon planted tank and they arent a problem. sometimes they will swim around with my black skirt tetras or chase my gourami a little but never in an agressive way. I also have them with three cory cats and have no problems their either, their just curious fish. I like them, they come out in the day a lot and dont get big, i would reccomend them.
