Wild caught oscars rule, if/when I get an oscar it will hopefully be wild caught

I got 2:D. I have had one since 4'' and the other since 5''. They both are 10''+ now.

There's nothing cuter than a baby O IMO.

I agree with RED O though, there is no way it would look anything like that as an adult.

lol, i allways thought it was a special kind of JD, instead of a special kind of o...
Had the pic saved on my computer.
Now if you excuse me, i'm gonna shave off my beard .
It's grown so long waiting for that update.....lol

The person who owns that oscar is on MFK and is from Japan. We had a argument on what it would turn out like. That was about 8 months ago. And no updates...

There is no such thing as a zebra oscar. Its just the patterns on some young wild/tiger oscars. Saying you own a zebra oscar, is like saying you have blueberry oscars.

YES!!!! Finally someone who knows what their talking about. Thereis no such thing as a zebra Oscar. You have a juvie Oscar....that's it peeps.:)

No, that is a rubrocellatus (not official species). I have only seen a few adult specimens from an aquarium in japan, and from what I remember they loose all the attractive juvenile patterning and end up very dull colored. They do, however have a rather large- and very much tall- adult form. I'll try and dig up the pictures tomarrow.

EDIT: for clarification the Oscar I was reffering to was not the OPs but the one in the picture and the link later posted. Rubros and zebras are NOT the same.
