I seem a pic of one of these guys online and wanted one instantly. My lfs is good at finding whatever it is I want, I inquired about one, and he told me he could get one around $160. Told him there was no way. Got home and shopped around online only to realize $160 was a fairly decent price for these guy. Why are they so expensive, they don't seem to be rare as my lfs was able to find them for order quick enough and I've seen people online who had dozens attempting to breed them. Is there anywhere I can get them at a realistic price, preferably under $40

40$ never happen 125$ if you keep searching. I payed a little under that but I bought 10 of them tho. Hopefully in year or so I will have fry ;)

if you go back in time like 10-20 years ago you could of got them for $20-$40 each.

if you can breed these babies you are going to make serious cash its a gamble tho ............ i wouldnt attempt it without years if aquarium experience and a good knowledge of breeding plecos

Thanks all, a much as I like em I could never see my self paying that much for a fish. The most I've payed ever is 35 dollars for a big red blood parrot
