he has had a couple of problems, i guess his wife or children were involved in shipping and there was mix ups.
But he did have plenty of good sales before then, during the problem and after wards.
being a seller you can't make everyone happy, there will be problems, and he does have somewhat of an arrogant attitude that does make disagreements worse.
I have talked to people who have since bought from him, they did not know his past problems, and they are very happy.
Don't know if i would risk it though.

They are building a dam on the river Xingu where the Zebra come from.
they also have gold there, and are bringing down the trees, both will cause runoff and chemicals to pollute that part of the river near Altamira.
Really, people should scoop up Zebra when they can find them, pretty much are going to be extinct in the wild.

with gold mining it's the chemicals they use to get the gold that gets tipped into the river that is the main problem. Mercury I think, but can never remember. Is development actually underway for this dam?

i read at ZP that it has been approved.
So who knows how long that will take, i'm guessing 5-10 years.

The problem, along with the fact that it will destroy the zebra home, is that brazil won't let them be exported so people can breed and keep them alive.

To my knowledge, Brazil has already built two dams, and I believe the plans for the third were thrown out.

At the Zebrapleco home, On the Xingu at AltaMira in the past year?
They were planning to build multiple dams on the various branches, but it was the Xingu one that people were worried about, so did that one get thrown out? Because they been talking about it for the past year, dams don't usually get built that quick, unless they use LAS Vegas casino contractors.
Then it would be done in a week.

i think you are right.
I can't find anything current on the Belo Monte Dam, that was going to be built at Xingu.
looks like it was halted.

Wouldn't be suprised if it was halted. Although their are enormous pressures on governments to provide more electricity to people, and the rivers in S. A. has some awesome potential for hydro power. Shame they are so devastating to wildlife and most of these rivers support areas of the richest biodiversity in the world...
I know they want to dam the Puelo river in CHile, which would be a massive shame.

Look at it this way though. With brazil able to sell the energy produced by the dams, the pressure for deforestation for profit is lessened.

yeah, although in reality they are both pretty catastrophic for the natural world.
Ahwell, we've dammed our rivers and cut down all our forests, it's nice to be in our ivory tower... although this isn't about the politics of these much "fun" larger topics that goes on for days, so I'll stop here lol.
