Great to see!

Another trick I used to get fish onto different feeds from stuff like bloodworms, tho I don't know how well that works with a larger cat like yours, is to put the known and new food into a shallow glas (or any other heavy container) and let it sit a bit before you carefully out the glas in your tank. That way the feeds sit directly on each other, exchanging tastes and the fish will inhale both when feeding. And the feeds don't flow around seperating. It worked for me with a lot species, including electric eels, I just never needed it on a cat before.

Great idea mate, I’ll try anything and everything if all else fails

I’m very happy today as I’m really hoping I can start seeing some character from him now, get him eating regularly and get him growing

Little fella is eating very very well now, he does however spit out the pellets I hide in his mussels, I’d say 8 times outta 10 he does eat them but I’ve seen him spitting them out, I proper push them in too.

He's now eating beef heart, mussel and prawn as well as the hikari massivore delite pellet i get him to eat.

Hes still very grumpy tho 😂 don’t come out his hole much even at night and hates when a plec finds its way in there

Photos below he’s just ate ( hence the fat belly )

Lovely fish. Had mine a couple of years now.

Not as greedy as some other catfish I have and they are very reclusive.

I would try and ditch the beefheart eventually and get him on pellets. He'll take them eventually may be a battle of wills but never seen a catfish refuse them in the end

Yeah the beef heart he gets only once a week and it’s only half a cube but my aim is to get him on mainly the pellets with the occasional frozen food

Update

He’s looking really well now, I finally got to see him in the daylight as I had to give the tank a real good once over so I had to disturb his home.

I am a little concerned about his head tho, not sure if he’s losing his slime coat or if he’s injured himself. There’s noting in the tank that’s small that he would need to try and squeeze into so I’m a little worried he’s stressed.

He’s eating well but don’t like sharing his little home but the 2 plecos have worked out *** he gets fed when I turn the wave maker off so they head straight for his house

Anyone got any ideas why his head may be like this
