A large beautiful not so active cat is exactly what I'm looking for. I think I'm going to try it. I want to phase out all my super aggressive CA cichlids and keep my Aro, Dats, a few bichirs and maybe a Fei Feng with the Tig. Hopefully it will all work out for the best.

A 2ft wide tank is to small for a aro a tig and some full grown tigers/dats

A tig will grow to about 28inch mine is close to that now and they don't bend as well as some fish so even a 16-18inch tig will need more than 2ft wide

Sorry but a tig will grow very fast up to 16inch so a 2ft wide tank won't hold it for long

I hate to say it but when you got your tank you should have gone 3ft wide as the rest of the dimensions are great but 2ft wide is just not big enough to hold a lot of fish people want to keep

hows ur Tig Richard

BTW i think u didn't see the date the OP has posted this thread on

Everyone seams to get a 6x2x2 or longer and deeper as thinking they have a massive tank and they can put anything in it rays aros dats tigs not to mention a whole load of other fish

2ft wide is way to small for most of the fish mentioned you need a min of 30inch wide to start with and if you do waste money on a 30inch wide you will still need to upgrade to 3ft wide at some point if you are thinking about keeping the mentioned fish it's best to do some resurch on tank size before buying the tank as it will safe you a lot of $$$ in the long run after having to upgrade a few times

2ft wide is very small once you start putting a few large fish in and some decor
