Where were with that one when I needed you??!?    ...
Naah all I did was silicone the 1.5" couplers on the ends of the flex hose...

I'm getting all the sub components together...
I haven't had good success with using silicone on pool hose. If you have any leftovers, you may want to consider using epoxy for some backups or replacements.

x2^

I have had good success using heavy-body PVC cement with flexible vinyl tubing to PVC hard pipe joints (vinyl tubing is PVC). I'm not sure what kind of plastic pool hose is made of, but silicone doesn't bond well to most plastics.

Often a mechanical joint such as barbed fittings (with or without hose-clamps) is the most fool-proof solution, but insert fittings do reduce flow considerably.

By the way, that is a nice kit they sell, what did it cost you? I've got a 110 long just waiting to be drilled!

Seeems to be a pretty hardy joint...I filled the grooves full with silicone, then twisted the hose into the coupling. When that set, I put s fillet around the end. I let it dry overnight and this AM I pulled on the fitting, and it seems to be sealed.

This is just the drain hose from the bulkhead to the new spray bar about 3' straight down...

We'll see.

Downloading the vid in two parts...
The first vid is showing glass drilling the top brace to gain access to the inside of the overflow. Need to get inside to hold the nut while you tighten the bulkhead down...

Water was drained 33% just like a water change, drilling was done with a 1.5" diamond holesaw...
The second vid shows the side hole drilling
Side hole was done with the supplied holesaw and assembly was done as per instructions...

holyhell i thought i had no knuckles and stubby fingers :nutkick:

hurry up with part 2
