UPDATE: Yesterday at lunch I came home to find her ovipositor visible and when I came back from work, there were about 50 brown eggs on the flat rock I put in the tank. By this morning, however, there were only a few brown eggs left. I didn't see any white ones and I saw the mother eating some, so I'm pretty sure they were just eaten and didn't turn white, but who knows. It sucks, but I realize it's their first batch and this is common among new cichlid parents. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the next batch and have some nice-looking Kamfas.
