Zoo Med "Can O' Worms"?

Ooops. Just fed mine the mealworms again and noticed the can said "Can O' Superworms". No wonder the ones I have are so big. I wonder if these were a promotional thing?

went to my local petsmart and all they had was the crickets. too much $$ for crickets. i can get huge ones at my LFS 24/$1

Petsmart will ream you on prices. I did the price match thing and they honored it.

Yeah the can o worms are zoophobas or superworms. A bit more nutritious as there's more meat per worm and less chitin (shell). I've fed the can o crix as a treat before, fish love it.

Well I just got two more cans of superworms, the Can O' Shrimp, and a Can O' Mealies. I fed the mealies and shrimp to my grammode yesterday and he luved them. I plan on supplementing his meager pellet diet (he eats pellets, but like most kids eat broccoli) with the mealies (real small mealworms), bloodworms, and the Can O' shrimp to see if I can get him to grow a little faster. I think the grammodes don't grow fast cuz they aren't voracious eaters. However, you throw some of these frozen or canned foods in there and his belly really sticks out each time. What I'll do is feed a pellet first, so he will at least get one pellet in him, and then drop the frozen/canned stuff in there for him to gorge on. Probably won't work but it gives me something to try.

I feed my O Hikari biopure freezedried krill, which comes in a .71 oz can. its lasted 2 weeks, and is still more than half full.

if I feed my O too much good stuff, he won't eat his pellets.

I need to start just giving treats as the last meal of the day.

never give kids desert before they eat their meat and veggies.
