What are the dimensions of your 10 gallon tank, I may be able to find some lighting options for you. If you are wanting to do coral, you definitely don't want to cheap out on the lights.

Ok, this is the second post you have bumped. I cannot say for sure as I am a new member, but most aquarium forums prohibit this. Even if they don't it's rude IMO to force your thread up the charts because people are going to assume there is new information posted. Now that I have said that.

You have plenty of lighting options for a tank that size that would allow you to keep pretty much any coral that may interest you. It really depends on your budget, but if money is no object an LED fixture like the AI SOL comes to mind.

They can be a bit pricey but that is the "new school" way. I am more of an old school halide fan. With your tank, a 150w pendant would work great. The upfront cost would be much less than the LED's but the replacement bulbs are a little high and don't last too long. Depending on the brand and how long you run it, 5-9 months is about all your going to get out of the bulb.

Something similar to that would work great IMO. Plus I love the look of halides.

Most people that opt for florescent lighting go with either T5HO or T12VHO. VHO are going the way of the dinosaur for several reasons, you don't have the color options you get with the T5 bulbs being one of the primary. The T5HO's are more efficient and you have plenty of color options. You can get plenty of decent T5HO fixture for a 20" tank. Take a look at this fixture:

You should be able to get the 20" version in the neighborhood of $250 and it would support anything you would want to keep. The bulbs last a long time, and you can have a multitude of color combinations between the 6 bulbs. Plus they are cheap to run and don't create heat issues.
