I noticed a beautiful 20"+ black aro at the National Aquarium here, the sign said "Osteoglossum bichirrosum", and I'm not even sure if half the people there would know the difference so I'm going to try buy it or swap it for a silver when I get my 160g set up.

So, if a person like John, with his credentials and available tank, were to waltz up to an AZA institution, give full proof of his tank capabilities, even then he would likely be turned down for a fish as common as a pacu or cichlid?
