You can put a plate under a divider so half the plate is on her side and half in his. She will lay eggs on her half when she's ready and then if the current is flowing her direction he can fertilize the eggs from his side.
Such good advice. I've really never attempted this before ever, and I wasn't sure how to do it without having my girl harmed. It's my daughters fish that she picked out so I wouldn't want to have to explain that later! Haha
If you really want them to do the nasty... just keep them divided for a month then add a target fish or to. But gamerpond1.... for some reason after they are bond with the divider they do go at it....why is that?
I haven't figured that one out yet my thai silk just started going phsyco on my red ragon after their fourth spawn so I threw a divider in and removed after she started cleaning and still same thing and neither of them were backing off eachother its not the first time I had a male do this had a male dovii kill a female texas after spawning multiple times afterwards the same dovii took out a parrot after they hung out side by side with a divider between them and when my friends wife came home for lunch from work and the divider was knocked down and the parrot was dead with every scale and fin still on her body at a friends house to a female so I figured I might give a heads up just incase he runs he runs into the same problem from what I've gathered so far the explanation for my thai silk is his hormones and that he is unpredictable till he's fully mature
