I keep all three and they are all brilliant fish - you'll find that all hide more when they are smaller and really start to show themselves as they get larger. Of the 3 i think that lithodoras is the most impressive and certainly the most active - but it gets huge - and grows very quickly...

it depends also what you can find out and about - lithodoras are hard to find, as are callophysus, jurense and tigs seem to be around only a few months of the year. in a 6x3x2 - i reckon you've got loads of options - i'd probably go for a nice tig and a jurense, i'd probably throw in something...

great fish - I've not seen one for sale for a few years - it'll get to about 8" - never seen a bigger one than that carl

its very tasty - very much like eel to be honest - a reasonably high fat content - I've eaten it in eastern europe - only ever seen it for sale on a fish counter once in the UK (that was harrods of all places). All fish caught in the UK and on a variety of baits too. carl

ah ha - a picture - the little blighters move so fast that the rest are all blurry - you can see the size of the caribe next to the guppys !!! will get some more later (I'm determined) - I don't appear to be able to add attachments -- hmmmmmm

Pier aquatics have a load of tiny caribe for sale - not seen these in the UK for a while so thought i'd post it up here as they were always in demand. They are a brilliant price at £10.50 each carl

Ah ha - after a few years of absence I have just picked up a shoal of 7 tiny baby caribe - brilliant - and a fantastic price too - only £10.50 each - got em from Pier aquatics at wigan - neil had about 50 in all the size of a 20 pence piece I can't wait for them to grow a bit and to shoal...

I was offered some of these recently but there's just not the demand in the UK (or wider Europe for that matter) I think that their specialised care requirements put people off. I would like to get some myself in the future as they are awesome in the flesh - I reckon they're worth the effort...
