    Rare bichirs closeup underwater

:( I was hoping the video took place in the wild. Still nice filming

    My senegal bichir(load warning)

At that size I prefer to feed frozen cubed mysis shrimp, the size is great for them and the shrimp is pretty nutritious.

    My senegal bichir(load warning)

Lol, I remember having to thinly slice earth worm just so my sen could eat it.

    My senegal bichir(load warning)

Lol, just picked up a couple more juvie sens as well. I swear I use worms larger than them to fish with ;) Cute looking little devils aren't they? Nice pics, keep us updated on it's progress.

Royal pleco with bichirs help asap

Royals are probably one of the few plecos I wouldn't worry about too much with putting with polys. Personally I don't keep the two together just because of a bad experience with a gibbi and sen, taking the royal's diet into account I wouldn't worry much.

    HELP!! SENEGAL IN TROUBLE!!!

Watch the pleco, which species? They have a tendency to latch on and rasp the skin of less active fish to eat away at the slime coat. I've seen marks like that before. Often it's from the pleco eating away at the area. The stress, and infection caused by the attacks generally kill the poly...

    HELP!! SENEGAL IN TROUBLE!!!

First question is tank mates, who're they with? Seconding on parameters.

    Large mouth bass

My LMB eats anything that hits the water (including nibbling on fingers), very aggressive feeder, there was no training needed to ween him onto pellets. As for the peas, mine steals my pleco's large wafers so I sure hope vegi's are good ;) I honestly wouldn't worry about the peas, starve him...

First post ever LMB 65 gallon picture and some questions

As others have said LMB tend to be fairly aggressive towards tankmates, I've found that my gibbi pleco has worked well thus far. Gibbis tend to be somewhat aggressive for plecos so they won't really have a problem being pushed around. That said they aren't native so I'm not sure how well that...

    Is my pickerel gunna die????

I've got a few fish I hooked, now in captivity it isn't uncommon for them to be shy at first. Give him time to relax and get used to his new surrounding, looks like a great fish I'm sure he put up a fight. Keep lights off, temp down, it wouldn't hurt to add 02 and give him time. If the...

    LMB

A very small lake called Bootjack, it's on hwy 2 about ~25 miles east of Libby. I haven't spoken to fish and wildlife to confirm the rumors, but I live right near it (or did just before I moved south to Bozeman) and that's what everyone's been saying. To be honest I doubt anyone aside from...

2 zoo med flora sun T5s (22"). When I took the pics my window shades were also open and the room's light was on as well. But he's just as colorful under just the aquarium lamps, the camera needed some better lighting though.

    LMB

Thanks for the comments, I was leaning towards northern as well, primarily due to location, lol his coloration is great, and he eats like a pig, he'll pretty much eat whatever I feed him, his current diet is tilapia and NLS 3mm pellets.

    Algae Control

Thanks for the help guys, tank is a 40b, endli is ~5.5-6" filtration is an Emperor 400 with the two extra media holders filled with fluval biomax. Water changes are approx. 50% weekly separated in 2 changes. The tank is also planted with a bunch of amazonian swords to help with any extra...

    Algae Control

So I've been wondering lately what methods everyone here is using to control algae growth in their poly tanks. My 40b grow out is currently housing my endli, and I'm having quite a bit of problems controlling the algae in the tank. Mostly because it's sitting right in front of a large window...

    Good price for palmas polli?

To be honest the answer you're most likely to get is that location will almost always determine price. I had to pay $20 each for my sens, and I got them at ~1.5", and $50 for my 5" endli. Ultimately it depends how badly you want the polys, and if you can get a better deal online. Personally I...

    Shocked

Never really had a predatory poly until I got my endli he emptied my tank of pretty much everything that fit in his mouth, and quite a few corys he couldn't eat but killed anyway. :( sorry for your loss dude.

    Northern pike

Beautiful fish, as for them being pests that's definitely true, a pike swimming in the waters will send any pan fish into hiding.

Runitis's first what's in the bag

Teugelsi? Lol, not many species left... they're mottled appearance may look like spots, juveniles more frequently look spotted.
