I don't think so. Needle nose don't have the horzontal thick line. The gar in the pic also has a thicker beak."Needle nose gar" They are a brackish fish. It is an example of convergant evolution, two unrelated fish have evolved the same adaptations.
Not sure if its the same species but I used to see saltwater fish like this in the mediterranean sea
Needs clearer pics to tell. They are called South american gars! lolLooks like a baby FLG to me. I don't see an adipose fin and the beak is wrong.
