jc1119 when you built your stand for your 210 did it cost under 100$?
I think I spent about $75 with the deck. Didn't really need the deck but it helped me level it a bit so it was worth the extra.

Deck and paint was about $30, so wood and screws around $40-45

I went with pol's idea and got the 30" width, but as far as between the 180G and 210G no one has asked the really important question...
how long are your arms?
gotta be able to reach the bottom...
otherwise, I'm all for more water.

of all the things everybody has brought up , one thing about tall tanks... they DO give more overall stocking options , because of the height,,,, schooling fish have the extra height to get away from cichlids or preds, and bottom dwellers don't have mid dwellers right on top of them.

For a 6foot tank, it would just mean a longer water change for me, so I go 180 personally. Of course, I wouldn't mind longer water changes if my tank has more lenght.

Also, at 5'6" tall, I would need to break out the snorkel every time I needed to reach something on the bottom lol

Well Think of it this way. 180 vs 210. the foot print is basically the same its just the height difference. it depends on your fish too. But i will always go for a bigger tank. Bigger tank means more water. Water gets less dirtier in the time span. So technically water will be "less dirty" because of more water volume. And i rarely do water changes (me being lazy) I do like 1 water change every week with an overstocked 125.

For an extra hundred bucks get that $210! If price difference was more than that, my opinion might change. Take it from somebody that has a 125 & a 150 - same footprint - the 150 looks like a waaaay bigger tank.
