Got an update? I really like this idea to help keep the substrate clean! Well. Cleaner.

It worked great my substrate was clean an if I raised the jets a lil more it would have stopped the sand blowing around but I pitched the idea after a few weeks at night when my fish were sleeping they would get tossed around by the jets so I added more big rocks and that just made more big holes in the sand if I spent the time to redesign the whole thing with taller jets and adjust the flow it'd be better but I was lazy and went back to a spray bar

But the pump was my return pump could my tank be ok if the water stops flowing for a 8 hours a night?

ah, probably not. I run separate pumps for my sump/RUGF.
