You could try having a different fixture tbh.

Metal Hallide is kind of archaic and a lot of lighting. Most people I see either use T5HO bulbs or LED these days.

Its ultimately up to you on what you want to do, getting different bulbs and fixtures does suck, but so does spending $100+ on anubias and it not living on you.

Well, idk about the quality of either brand, but I can say that either of those color spectrums are fine.

What I like to do is mix them though. On my 75 I have 2 6500K bulbs, a 5000K bulb, and this pinkish grow bulb thing.

I actually need new bulbs too lol

Anubias seems to be starting to look nice. There were some dying already from the 10 days of all blue light.
My t5 fixture 48" 4x54 watts.
2 Florasun plant growth bulbs 8500K
2 Daylight bright white ones 6700K

I wanted to ask more advice should I add another 48" T8 10,000K ultrasun strip to it (got an extra one lying around) that would total 266 watts and all water surface will have light on it?
Also how long do you guys keep your lights on?

I'd leave it at the 4 bulbs tbh. And I do my lights for 8 hours
