anyone have a fire eel in a community tank?

I thought it was more common for them to crawl out and die. I would love a chunky eel in my community tank
The commonest way for any of the spiny eels to die is of an open infected wound cause their skin is really delicate. A buddy of mine lost some peacock eels this way. Although, them escaping is a real contender for the no. 1 cause of death.

^ yup, i lose my big guy coz he managed to escape... So never underestimate the holes they can get out of...

so far hes grown from about 6" to 14" i have mostly manzanita wood in my tank and plants and one half shipwreck decoration he enjoys to stick his head out of him and the bichir also take turns stalking in the plants
