Update: my Umbee pair has finally started to bond. My male is about 14" and my female is about 9". I have been feeding the female extra to condition her. I am hoping that they will spawn.

bit of an update on my male and female umbee. from different blood lines, the male is around 7.5" and the female around 3.5". they are divided in a 6' standard tank but i'll be transferring them into a community 5'x2.5'x2' very soon. i'm just trying to get some size on her first as she's a fair bit younger then the male

Ye gawds frazzlerock5 ... she's a beauty. I wish C. spectabilis was more commonly available. I can find myersi and kraussi, but not the spectablilis.

thanks darth pike, I got lucky when I got mine. I got it from Ken Davis last February and it was the last one he had. I wish these were a little bit easier to come by too, I'd like to find a male for her.
