Skynoch, did you quarantine your newbies?
No which I would have put them in another tank but they're all being used at the time and wasn't sure I would get another chance at these rays. The one thing I noticed is that the bigger the ray the longer it seems to take effect.
Anybody got any good methods to remove fine gravel from a closed top acrylic 36"high and 8' long. There are only 2 10"square openings in it.

Should be able to siphon it out with the right diameter hose shouldn't you? Like some 3/4 or 1 inch???

Blow it all into one corner with a pump first to save A TON of time?

I'm trying man, but that's all I got.

I'm just happy I found the Binox stuff somewhere...... VERY difficult to find in this cornfield they call Iowa. Called every reputable LFS within a 100 mile radius.

The question I have is with my aparicio pair I got. The female had some disk rot on her feet and the tip of her tail when she came in. The male was perfectly okay as far as looks go. I removed the male into another QT area. The female ended up dieing which is not a shock because she was in horrible shape. Will this bacteria transport from one tank to the next or does it only live in the substrate. Both tanks are bare bottom. The male is spotless and eating fine.
