If I was limited to a 30 gallon, I would go with a modestly stocked African Cichlid tank. I know the recommended size tanks for African cichlids is 50+ but if you know what you're doing (good filtration, water changes, decor) there's no reason why they wouldn't thrive in a 30 gallon.

I may be misunderstanding the first post but I think the op said 330L tank which is roughly 90 US gallons. So things like aros and stingrays would be out. A nice African cichlid tank would def be a good option for an active colorful tank.

+1 do some math people. Theres roughly 3.8L in a gallon... not 11. So rule out stingrays, yes discus can be done if done properly and the OP is an experienced fish guy. Doesnt sound like thats the case and he asked for the BIGGEST(so recommending a school of medium sized fish...) plus discus probably wouldnt be happy in a 30g tank whoever recommended that.

I would look into many CA/SA cichlids, there are too many to recommend. Stay away from umbees, dovii, jags etc. Oscars make an excellent wet pet. Im also a big fan of green terrors. Another great wet pet is a tilapia buttikoferi like my avatar

or what I said..and 330L is a little under 90 if it is 3.8L per gallon.90 gallons would have to be 3.6666666666666666666666666666667L per gallon.
