Bigger in the wild, or bigger in a tank?

Do fish grow larger in the wild or do they grow larger in a captive environment?

With a monster fish, like a TSN for example, Id say it gets larger in an aquarium. Assuming it has enough space, adaquete filtration and an unlimited suply of food, like any fish bought has the right to have, its size could be record!

An exaple would be a TSN in a 15x7x4 pond. Filtration would be 'x' micron filter bags, wet/dry 1/4 of the pond size, and feedings 3 times a day and 60% waterchanges twice a week. Id say he grows to a minimum of 5 feet.
