My gar has passed away this morning.

Saw alot of swelling and redness inside the mouth and throat area.

No open wounds at all.

Sorry for your loss, did you inspect the gar's gills? Thats where I thought the wound might be. If he had parasites it might have spread to his tank mates.

Yes I did. Nothing unusual. Dark red color.

But the throat area is very strange looking.

Maybe he had a virus, and his body tried to kill it off but unfortunately died trying.
