May i ask why your going so high?:) Just out of curiousity.. Gues your not going to grow plants on the bottom :p
I just like the look of a tall tank and I wanted it to look like the whole wall is a fish tank. I had to use a lot of wood though, I used 2 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood glued together just to be safe.


I'd love to see this when it's done. Where in MI are you at?
I live in shelby township.

Here is my stand, its two rows of 4x4's stacked on top of each other. I couldnt make the stand that tall because the tank is already tall. With the stand the tank will be 6'6" tall. I wanted to make it taller but my basement ceiling is only 9 ft tall so I had to leave some space for lighting and accessing the tank. Im not worried about the look of the stand or the tank because it is going to be built into the wall.

that is going to hold a lot of guppies. How do you plan on aquascaping this? Just toss in a tree as driftwood and let it be? Are you going to be able to vacuum the bottom? By all means an impressive tank, I just am wondering about the logistics of maintenance.
