Caught a goldfish

Well for the second time this year I have caught a feral goldfish. The first time I caught two 4-5 inchers in a crawdad trap. I caught this one on hook and line. It was about 12". Brings a new meaning to the word feeder goldfish. My endlis will eat good this weekend .

I have heard koi are here though have never seen any. The koi you saw were they bright colored ?

This is exactly why it is illegal in Pennsylvaina to use goldfish for bait. Fishermen were dumping them - had one pond overran with goldfish.

idiot fishermen... first off, why would they be keeping them alive on the side if their gonna shred it for bait?

They use them for live bait, not cut bait. Places here used to sell them as 'Baltimore minnows'.
