I will continue to monitor this tank closely, but thus far everyone is behaving. The introduction of the gar has actually restored balance to the tank: the clown knife has calmed down, and the Odoe and the wolf fish aren't on hunger strikes anymore. The gar is a glutton though. He's good about feeding though: he lets the clown knife take his fill, then calmly waits for me to drop in more.
I am really enjoying the gar, and I have a feeling it's going to be hard to part with him when the time comes.
