yup. they may get nibbled on, but recover quickly, cost less and deal with high nutrient levels very well.

Corals can grow in relatively high nitrates...but...this is a discussion for a different time and place.
That being said, for now, +1 to the softies, later on you can try to add brains ect.
The filter feeders would probably do fairly well in a tank full of large fish, making large poops. You would just have to see. Buy yourself a cheap gorgonian. If it does well...then maybe try a sea fan. Be ready to supplement food for it though.
