Nice! I'm prepping for opening day, got myself a nice new ugly stick for trout since my old trout rod got broken my a 35 pound flathead. Oh and a bunch of powerbait and new lures.image.jpg

Opening day here in NJ was this past Saturday. Went with my cousin and his friend to a little creek that they stock every year with some really nice fish. I could probably around a dozen fish, and the same was with my cousin and his friend. We only kept the 6 largest between the three of us though, and I have to say they were pretty delicious! I managed to catch the monster of the day, the last fish just as we were getting ready to leave, too! It was a nice rainbow weighing in at 2 lbs 15 oz, and was about 20" in length. What was really cool was that my cousin was able to film me reeling it in with an underwater camera, so I'm hoping I can get the footage of that from him at some point.

Fleuger president, 2-6 lb. I got enough for all my rods though, the 12 pound stuff is for SMBs next month.

NICE! I've yet to catch a palomino in my 4 years of trout fishing and I'm getting really desperate at this point so I'm entering a fishing contest next weekend where they put in trout an hour before and 50% are pallies.

Nice fish divemaster! Went down to the reservoir today and caught a sweet bass on a spinnerbait. That's the first first fish I've caught out of there so far this year; something tells me this is going to be a good fishing season :)
