So basically you have no idea of what your pH and Gh levels are?

No that is not what I said............... I said my water was fine for a Arowana, not that I did not know my ph.
It doesn't change a lot due to being on a well and also I have had tanks at this house for 2 years now and never a problem.

If your pH doesn't change much then your water could be very hard and have a high mineral content, which wouldn't be ideal for a juvi black.

Some people are set on what they want to do and no one will change that.

One big difference with blacks over any aros is how they eat. They are much shyer and when the same size as silvers. They tend to still want half pellets and about 1.5 total pellets each a few times a day. were a silver for example would be taking 2-3 whole food sticks at a time multiple times a day. Big difference in feeding behavior at smaller sizes.

My Ph has always been around 6.5 it does fluctuate from time to time but that is what I have always had showing when I test my water.
I am building something right now to use for feeding for the little guy. From what I WAS TOLD HE IS EATING LIKE A PIGGY AND HAS GOTTEN A LITTLE FATER ALREADY. :0

Well not actually black and white like I seen online, but soon as I picked him up, I put him and his water he came in along with some water from home in a 5 gal bucket with a air stone by the time I got home he went from pail white to a nice yellowish color on his top and normal silver down bottom.
