Boy, this is ironic considering one of my first 10 posts was along the same lines. Matter of fact, I provided all the article/book info and was told it was "SPAM". It was removed and I was "dinged" for it.

Whew! Talk about an exhaustive report!

To be honest, I think Oscars are way underrated as beginner fish, people just need to be better advised about their tank requirements. There's always something to be said for darters, too...... :-D

Great post this should be made a sticky. Beginners should also not get all the fish they see at the store like I have seen some people doing. They usually say "Oh, give me one of each."
