use methalyne blue and do frequent water changes. its a bad idea to do the salt treatments if you have live plants in your tank. theyl get burns from it and turn an ugly black. the salt treatement works good though. but it takes awhile to work.
if you do decide to use the salt treatement, use a waterbottle with a small pin hole in it and the cover closed slightly to make a drip system and prop it somewhere over the tank.

well they are just going to die then. get a heater, get the $2.99 ick parasite killer. and then get a bigger tank cause with that pacu you got about 2 months.

well,you need to go get a new heater and while your at it pick up a bottle of quick cure. Follow the directions. or you could just try the heat and salt method. I personally have found quick cure to take effect more quickly. Good luck

get a heater
bump up the temp to like 86
do 50% water change initially
25% every day until white spots gone
10% every other day for 1-2 weeks after white spots gone - just to make sure all of it is gone and outta the water
and add salt - like a teaspoon per 10 gallons or something like that
thats what i do when my fish get ich
