My eshopps skimmers took a while to break in, around 4 or 5 days. Once I got my Tessellata eel in the tank they kicked into action. Great skimmers for sure!
Well what I really want is an snowflake and I know they get big so I know I'll have to upgrade but I think a smallish juvi or a baby should do me just fine don't you think or no ??

Well yes and no. A juvenile snowflake could live in a 29 for a short time. However, that short time would need to be the cycling period of a larger tank.

I cycled my 150 and 90 gallon tanks for 3 months or more.

I've got the new style 65 gallon coralife super skimmer on my 20 gal and it sucks out skimmate really well, I made a modification to make it quieter which helps if you sleep around it, other then that it just takes time to tune correctly and then it works great.
