if your expectation is to get a "kok" like those flowerhorns out there, then these cichlids will never get them....

as a matter of fact i have never seen a adult male specimen with a giant "kok"

I purchased 2 Texas about 2.5" in January 2019. Now one them ia about 3" and other one is 4" and has developed little hump.
