I got 2 approx. a year and a half ago, they were in the 2-3" inch range when I first brought them home I started them out with some peacock bass the same size in a 90g.
At about 6 months I moved them into a 3000g pond (which is when the picture was taken). And now before they outgrow it, I am in the process of constructing a larger permanent home.
I don't have an updated picture but they measure 3.5' and 4' respectively a year and a half after I brought them home under 3". Can update later.

Mine have all been about 4' at at year and 6'+ at two years. They slow down about 6-7', but will keep going into the 9' range if you have the right size body of water and quality food.

When properly taken care of, Arapaima grow faster than any other fish I've kept.
