How to deal with humidity or persistent water presence ? I would love to setup something like but will this cause any damage to wooden roof ?
I have four windows down there which could provide enough airflow but if not I could look into a dehumidifier.

I even have a drain in the floor which comes in handy for water changes.

I think my dryer creates more humidity, I thought it would be a problem but it's not that bad. Water temp is 78ºF.
This is the first winter with it, its my tropical sanctuary. I'll probably keep the conure parrot (skittles) down there too.

So it is a hybrid. I asked the former owner, he had no clue. I suspected so, it doesn't have the markings of many and his head isn't as flat as most tsn's
