^ I would NOT consider that a light phase...
Still very nice but more of a dark with MAJOR marbling, just my .02
Or perhaps we are talking about a marbling pattern instead?

Can someone bring to light the definitions of some of this stuff? Lightbase/Darkbase, clearbase? I think there's a lil confusion here.
I thought light base was a tannish or cream colored base color rather then brown.
I don't have any. Swore they used to be.

She used to be. Check the pics in the "What's she worth" thread. I think she resembles a Pearl now. I'd call over half the rays here light based at one point in thier lives. I still am not sure if my interpretation of lightbase is right, but undeer my impression of it, right now I'd say there's only a few. Once they grow up they likely won't be either. We'll see what happens, I think that 2 of the ones here may qualify as light base that are around 11-12", have to see what happens with them patternwise.FishDog;4129511; said:
I'd consider Spotfin's female light based at one point in time. She's definetly not now. Duckman's isn't anymore. I think if you look at most Marbles in the 4+ yr old neighborhood that used to be considered lightbase this holds true.
My PH could be messing with patterns though...... Never heard of anyone keeping them in 8.6-8.8.
So many variables....
